Incorporated in Malaysia in 1974, Watta Battery Industries Sdn. Bhd. (18880-U) (WATTA) started off by manufacturing plates and components for the re-conditioning of automobile batteries. Over the years, with the steady growth and expansion of production capacity, WATTA embarked on the manufacturing of polypropylene container batteries for a wide range of vehicles.

Today, WATTA's leading brand WATTA Premium Battery has established a reputation for high performance in power and durability in use in the domestic and as well as in the international market.

After 22 years of continuous growth, WATTA HOLDING BHD. (324384-A) (the parent company of WATTA) has been public listed in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange of Malaysia since 1996.

Very stringent quality controls and close production line supervision by a highly qualified team of chemists, technicians and engineers, ensure that WATTA Premium batteries function efficiently under all kinds of operating conditions, be it tropical or temperate.

We are proud to say that WATTA Premium Batteries have been well established / distributed over 55 overseas countries.

On the home front, the batteries are approved as Original Equipment for Car / Truck Assemblers such as the prestigious marques like Mercedes Benz, Audi, Citroen, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Daihatsu, Fiat, Honda, Isuzu, Peugeot, Perodua, Mazda, Toyota, Volvo and the Malaysian National cars, to name just a few.
